The design of the Resound quilt is created with a modified delectable mountain block. The Delectable Mountains block dates back to the 1840's and actually gets its name from John Bunyan’s book Pilgrim’s Progress. This is one of my absolute favorite blocks to make. I remember when I first discovered it; it completely blew my mind that you could so simply create something that looked so complicated. I know it may look advanced, but if you can make half-square-rectangles and sew together strips, then you can make this stunning quilt. The pattern is written so you can choose to make the quilt in lap size, throw size, or oversized throw size.
